naming and adoption ceremonies
Today is your day, you're off and away!
A Naming or Adoption Ceremony provides a beautiful opportunity to surround yourselves with the love of your friends and family, and celebrate your little one with absolute oodles of joy. A completely personal alternative to a christening, these ceremonies creatively carve out a moment to mark a wonderful milestone, and bring families of all shapes and sizes together in love.
Unlike a christening, you’re free to let your imagination go wild and create a ceremony completely personal to you; one that reflects your future together as a family and as a community. As with all my ceremonies, there are no limits – location, size, family dynamic; the only thing that matters is that you’re getting the ceremony of your dreams. Perhaps you’ve (cleverly) kept your baby’s name a secret and this is the chance to announce it, or maybe it’s a time to come together to make promises to your little one as you plan your life together. The possibilities are endless, and I’m excited to show you the way.

burning questions
What does a Naming or Adoption Ceremony involve?
Essentially - anything! There is plenty we can explore, but some popular options are to have readings and music, an action that symbolises unity as a family, something creative for the little ones, and perhaps promises made to each other and to your child.
Where can our ceremony take place?
Anywhere! Your back garden, a church hall, a restaurant, a woodland; anywhere that takes your fancy.
Our family dynamic is a little complicated, is that an issue?
Absolutely not. Family is something that you can define for yourself, and there don’t need to be labels or obligations for anyone. A ceremony like this can be a perfect way to acknowledge the creation of something new, together.
